About Shnayim Mikra

It can be easier to make time for Shnayim Mikra when you have someone to read along with. This project pairs recordings with Hebrew Mikra and Targum Onkelos, so you can follow at your own pace.

Read or listen, one Aliya at a time

The homepage opens with the upcoming weekly Parsha on the Diaspora schedule. Choose the whole Parsha or one Aliya, from Rishon through Shevi’i. You can also choose a different Parsha at any time.

The published recordings contain each Pasuk of Mikra twice, followed by Targum Onkelos once. Follow in your Chumash or read the text on the screen. The place marker is manual; it does not move automatically with the voice.

Which recordings are available?

Text is available for all 54 Parshiyos. Recordings are added as they become available. When an Aliya has no recording, the reader says “Recording coming soon. You can still read the text.”

Text sources and corrections

The reader shows the source edition and license for the Mikra and Onkelos text. Please send us any text, recording, or pronunciation corrections. For questions about how to fulfill Shnayim Mikra, ask your Rav.

Podcast and privacy

The podcast RSS feed includes published recordings, labeled by Parsha and Aliya. How a podcast app groups them depends on that app.
